Hits Keep Coming for Tiger
Since the rumors of Tiger Woods’ first three mistresses became news, several more ladies have teetered forward, claiming that they too have tumbled with the golf titan. Add to that, Mr. Wood’s mother-in-law’s early morning hospitalization today, following an emergency call where she complained of stomach pains.
And add to THAT hot mess, this past Saturday’s SNL skit with guest host Blake Lively as Woods’ wife, Elin Nordegren and Keenan Thompson as Tiger. Thompson played a plumper version of the golfer, addressing the press during a Wolf Blitzer “The Situation Room” broadcast. Reading nervously from a letter supposedly written and overseen by the surprisingly strong Swede, “Elin” periodically attacked her husband, the camera cutting away to a muttering and indecipherable Blitzer. The SNL skit garnered criticism for poking fun at domestic abuse, but really it was just plain funny. And like most SNL skits, didn’t stop while it was ahead. In all seriousness, Wood’s mother-in-law, Barbro Holmberg was driven by ambulance at 2:35 this morning to Health Central Hospital–the very same Florida hospital Woods visited following his car crash. Holmberg arrived in the U.S. from Sweden several days ago. It is said that her affliction is not serious, and she is in stable condition. Her private hospital room is protected by security.
Not feeling secure, however, is golfing great Mr. Woods who has to deal with another round of criticism, gossip, press mongering and well, blogs, following recent claims that he had more affairs than were first (and second, and third) announced. Get in line, Rachel Uchitel, Jaimee Grubbs and Kalika Moquin. No less than nine women are now romantically linked to Woods.
Rounding out the list new players are porn star Holly Sampson and Mindy Lawton, who worked at a pancake house. The 36-year-old Sampson has starred in such greats as “OMG, Stop Tickling Me” and “Flying Solo 2.” Clearly, neither of these overlooked flicks will be in the running for a Best Picture Oscar. A 34-year-old pancake house waitress (Perkins in Orlando, to be exact), Lawton claims to have met Woods in a diner where she worked. She has alluded to the golfer’s large, shall we say, club, and has more than hinted that he knows his way more than just the golfing green. She states that her affair with Woods lasted a year and ended after the birth of Woods’ and Elin’s first child, daughter Sam.
Now we have Cori Rist, a 31-year-old nightclub-goer from Manhattan and Jamie Jungers, a 26-year-old lingerie model for the top-notch sounding Trashy Girls line of undergarments. Another waitress from Orlando, aged 26, has come forward as a mistress of Woods, as well. Her name, sadly has not be released. But I’m wondering if it will be another form of Jamie.
Finally, the most recent mistress to come forward (wait, we haven’t hit ‘publish’ yet, there could be more) is an older female, a British broadcaster based in London. The British press have called her “cougar,” since her real name has also not yet been released. The day is young, folks, the day is young.
